There is a multitude of talk these days around “Craniosacral Therapy”. Our own (highly recommended) Registered Massage Therapist Travis Irmen has been working hard in school for the last two years on obtaining the credentials of BCST (Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist) and will be taking new patients in late February 2018! Although all Massage Therapists can perform “craniosacral modalities” Travis is the real deal. If traditional therapeutic modalities aren’t helping you get to the place you feel you should be and you feel like you need to hit the reset button on your body, this is where you should start.

Let us explain more about this amazing type of Therapy:

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle yet profound non-invasive, hands-on treatment for the whole body.  Performed on a massage table, the client is fully clothed and the touch is generally light and still.  The treatment is focused on supporting the health of the whole being, especially the nervous system.  This is the system that dictates all of the body’s functioning, and is constantly sending and receiving all sorts of information.

Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapists are able to understand how an optimally functioning healthy nervous system performs.  Therapists are trained for years on how to use acute perception skills to perceive subtle physiological changes.  They are also aware of the energetic map that underlies one‘s basic health and symptomology.  They believe that health is never lost no matter what the ailment and use their ability to identify the parts of the nervous system that are not functioning optimally. They are able to help increase awareness of the “always available health” in the body to assist the system in bringing itself back into balance. This supports greater ease and helps the body to decrease negative symptoms.
