Stephanie George approaches her work with respect for mental, physical, and social well-being as interconnected pillars supporting overall health. She is passionate about helping individuals cultivate balance and resilience through a holistic understanding of the mind–body connection. Her work centers on supporting clients in achieving meaningful change through compassionate, evidence-informed care.
Stephanie completed her Master of Social Work with a clinical focus at UBC Okanagan. Before this, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from the University of British Columbia Okanagan, where she concentrated on clinical exercise physiology and psychology. Stephanie is committed to lifelong learning and regularly seeks opportunities to expand her clinical skills through workshops and continuing education. Her educational background in both physical and mental health provides a strong foundation for understanding the whole person.
Stephanie’s practice emphasizes trauma-informed care and nervous system regulation, drawing from modalities such as Polyvagal Theory, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She works with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, disordered eating as well as life’s natural shifts and turning points . Stephanie also offers counselling for health-related behavior changes, mental health support for performance and healthy aging, and walk-and-talk therapy.
Her approach integrates evidence-based practices with a compassionate, collaborative style, meeting each client where they are in their healing process. Stephanie focuses on helping clients develop a deeper understanding of their experiences, build nervous system resilience, and strengthen the connection between mind and body. She believes that lasting change happens when individuals feel safe, seen, and empowered.
